Our workouts mirror an actual fighter’s training routine without the fight. Using a heavy bag, gloves, jump rope, timer and music, you will build cardio endurance and muscle tone. Classes are taught in a group setting to increase participation and intensity while teaching basic fighting techniques as you enjoy a full body boxing workout.
Rock Steady Boxing enables people with Parkinson’s disease to fight their disease by providing non-contact boxing-style fitness programs that improve their quality-of-life and sense of efficacy and self-worth. Recent studies also suggest that intense exercise programs may be “neuroprotective,” actually working to delay the progression of symptoms.
Our Muay Thai and MMA team consists of members interested in physical conditioning and learning the skills for self-defense, as well as those interested in competing in tournaments. Whether or not you are looking to compete there is a high level of physical conditioning with the skills being taught through repetition using kick pads, mitts, light contact drills, and sparring at the more advanced levels.
