Meet Coach Dusty Harrison-Hernández, a passionate professional boxer and coach. With 2 years at Champion Boxing & Fitness, Coach Dusty is primarily involved in training with Coach Bruce, assisting with the Fight Team, and Personal Training.
Dusty’s journey into coaching was inspired by his lifelong involvement in boxing. Growing up in a professional boxing gym, he discovered his talent for coaching by answering questions from other fighters who were just getting started.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes learning the basics of boxing before developing a style. Dusty believes in the importance of practical experience, encouraging his fighters to ask questions and remain open-minded.
Certified as a licensed professional coach in approximately 10 states, Dusty brings a wealth of practical experience to his coaching. With an astonishing 197 amateur fights to his name, and a professional record of 37-0-1 with 23 KOs, Dusty carries a very deep understanding of the sport. Dusty’s accomplishments in boxing include being the former USBA and WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Champion
Boxing has had a profound impact on Dusty’s life. It has allowed him to travel the world, learn about different cultures, and brought discipline to his life. Outside of coaching and boxing, Dusty is a proud family man and enjoys spending as much time as possible with his loved ones.
