Coach Bruce Babashan: Bruce is a highly respected boxing coach and trainer with over 20 years of experience. Coach Bruce has trained fights at every level in the sport including professional world and international champions, Olympians and Golden Gloves Champions as well.

While Bruce earns a living as a coach his heart lies in amateur boxing and he has devoted a large potion of his life teaching boxing and helping young men and women develop courage and character thru boxing.  Coach Bruce loves working with kids and he is best described as a strict disciplinarian with a loving heart.

Coach Bruce is also the founder and CEO of The Good Fight, a none-profit whose mission is to teach Courage, Character and Accountability thru boxing.

Working from home meant we could vary snack and coffee breaks, change our desks or view, goof off, drink on the job, even spend the day in pajamas

Coach Jason Boyer began training in the brutal art of Lethwei in 1986. He fought competitively in Muay Thai from 1991 - 2007 capturing several titles along the way. Coach Boyer began coaching at the young age of 22 simply because he needed more sparring partners, and training them from scratch seemed to be an effective way to acquire them. He has consistently coached ever since, training hundreds along the way, to include bringing countless fighters from scratch to pro. Helping people transform their lives is his passion. Coach Boyer currently oversees our kickboxing program. Additionally, Coach Boyer is a retired decorated police officer and swat team operator. He is currently a police instructor at a local area police academy.
    Johnny Garcia has been boxing since the age of 16. He is the head coach for the youth program at champion boxing fitness. Johnny has developed his understanding and knowledge of boxing through the 8 years of experience he has had training alongside professionals and many great fighters in the DMV area. He trains hard to the best of his abilities and expects nothing less from his students. He enjoys building up the lives of the future generation just like boxing did for him.
      Cheryl Watkins is an Occupational Therapist with 14 years of experience. When Cheryl discovered she could help those with Parkinson’s Disease by slowing their progression using the Rock Steady Method, her  hobby of boxing (for fitness ) became her passion. Cheryl is Rock Steady Boxing Coach and program director of our Rock Steady Boxing Rockville program. She also brings to our program her experience as an LSVT BIG certified therapist and a closed brain injury specialist. When she is not working at our gym, she can been seen working at Suburban Hospital and working with clients/patients privately.
